Ally Sheedy
Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy, born 13 June 1962 in the US, is an actor. In 1983, following her debut film Bad Boys starring as a Brat Pack member in WarGames in 1983 as well as The Breakfast Club '85 she was well-known as a member of the group. In recognition of her role in Lisa Cholodenko's High Art (1998) Sheedy was awarded the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead. Ally Sheedy has been an American actor and author for over 20 years. Her career in film began in the the early 1980s, when she appeared as a character actress for the crime-drama film, Bad Boys. The film of Rick Rosenthal also featured Sean Penn, Esai Morales Clancy Brown & Alan Ruck. She appeared on screen in The Breakfast Club in 1985, a comedy drama which followed her first success. The film by John Hughes called The Breakfast Club has been hailed as being among the high school cinema's best films. The film cost only $1,000,000 but it grossed in excess of 50 million dollars. Additionally, she began appearing in various TV shows such as CBS Schoolbreak which was her television debut. In April 1980, the show began to air. It was aimed at teens. Other TV shows she appeared in included Chicago Story Big City Samuels and the Kid as well as Hill Street Blues. Her most recent appearances include Little Sister as well as X-Men Apocalypse, a movie about a hero where she appears in a cameo. Sheedy for her amazing performances has won numerous awards including her MTV Movie Award for Silver Bucket of Excellence Award in 2005.
